Teachers for a day
Under the Human Rights & Community Service class, and in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in beloved Palestine, our 10th grade students decided to be “teachers for a day” and deliver awareness sessions to 5th and 6th grade students on the history of the occupation, the current crimes against humanity taking place in Gaza and the overall struggle of the Palestinian people.
Our young teachers prepared a variety of activities including educational games, storytelling, short plays, trivia competitions, cultural presentations and art work. The elementary students demonstrated engagement and curiosity to further learn about this struggle and take part in the solidarity action.
